About this project

This was a chance to document one of the most remote and protected river corridors in the U.S. Over five days and 100 miles on the Middle Fork of the Salmon, I captured the rhythm of backcountry travel — dawn coffee by the fire pan, Class IV whitewater, hot springs, and the stillness of canyon walls at dusk. The project focused on telling the story of place through the people moving through it.
